An Sulaire Trust is active within the traditional sail-boat community and each year accepts invitations to take part in national and international regattas.

During May 2003, billed as the flagship of the fleet, An Sulaire took part in Sail Caledonia, an event organised to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Caledonian Canal.

Over the week the twenty boats that took part sailed and rowed the 66 miles from Fort William to Inverness taking us through the lochs and townships of the Great Glen. Some 88 people sailed aboard An Sulaire and on a 'fun sail' on Loch Ness had seventeen people from eight differnt nations on board. Many strong friendships were made on that trip, forged with the thunk..splash..thunk..splash of a thousand strokes of the oars.

Regular crew that week were, Kenny Morrison (Skipper), Phil, Corrags, Pete and Trevor, Sue Carey, Mark who was our Piper.. and all the others who joined us along the way.
